Ember & Bean

Subscription UXStore OptimizationAnalytics

A specialty coffee roaster's storefront rebuilt around subscription clarity — the recurring purchase is the business, so the flows treat it that way.

The challenge

One-time purchases dominated while subscriptions — the stable revenue — sat behind confusing flows and unclear commitment terms.

The strategy

Make the subscription the default path with transparent cadence and pause options, supported by tasting notes that turn choice into confidence.

What was implemented

  • Redesigned subscription flows and cadence selection
  • Tasting-note structure across product pages
  • Tracking for subscription funnel stages
  • Simplified roast-finder entry point

The outcome

Subscriptions became a first-class path through the store, with customers understanding exactly what they're signing up for.

Outcomes are described qualitatively by design — no invented metrics. Where a store is live, judge it yourself by visiting.
