The challenge
Pet supplies is a broad, practical category: bowls, leashes, beds, grooming tools and treats all compete for attention. The design challenge was to turn that variety into a storefront that feels warm rather than cluttered — one where pet owners can quickly understand what's on offer, find the right category for their need, and feel confident buying from a store they may be visiting for the first time, on any device.
The strategy
The storefront leads with emotion and follows with structure. A lifestyle hero sets the tone, then lifestyle-led collection tiles organize the catalog around moments in a pet's day — walks, feeding, grooming and rest. Product rails, tabbed picks and a guided recommendation prompt give shoppers several ways into the catalog, while editorial brand sections and clear service promises carry trust through the page.
What was implemented
- Homepage structure with a lifestyle hero, announcement bar and clear primary call to action
- Collection browsing organized around walks & travel, feeding, grooming and beds & comfort
- Product rails with tabbed Popular Picks, sale and stock badges and quick option selection
- Visual category selector for discovering products by type
- Guided "Let Us Recommend" prompt to match shoppers with suitable products
- Editorial brand storytelling sections and a guided-routine feature block
- Trust elements covering shipping, returns and customer support
- Responsive layouts across the full storefront
The outcome
The result is a cohesive, warm storefront with a clear structure: shoppers can browse by need, compare products at a glance and understand the store's service promises before they reach checkout. The visual identity stays consistent from the hero to the final trust section.
Outcomes are described qualitatively by design — no invented metrics. Where a store is live, judge it yourself by visiting.
